Westfalia Technologies celebrates 25 years
Westfalia Technologies, Inc. (Westfalia), provider of logistics solutions for manufacturers and distributors, announces the celebration of its 25th anniversary. Founded in 1992, Westfalia introduced its European-designed line of automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) to the North and South American markets and has been operating out of its York, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility and other sales and service locations for 25 years. The company recognized the need for high-quality warehousing and materials handling solutions supported by standardized software and is grateful for the acceptance and trust it has earned from its U.S. customer base.
Since its first AS/RS installation more than 24 years ago at Firmenich, Inc.’s Plainsboro, New Jersey facility–which is still in operation today–the system designs have evolved to incorporate order fulfillment solutions targeting the U.S. manufacturing sector. With installations ranging from liquor distribution to minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit blood plasma storage, Westfalia has developed custom automated warehousing solutions for the food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, resulting in continued success.
Today, Westfalia is a vital player in the dynamic and growing automated materials handling industry. Tailored to meet each project’s unique needs, Westfalia’s solutions help their customers realize new operational efficiencies, better utilize space and position themselves for future growth. Westfalia attributes its continued success to a combination of earning the trust of its employees and customers, providing customers with innovative, long-term solutions and building successful relationships.
Dan Labell, president, Westfalia, said, “As president, I’ve seen our company develop its products and services over the past 25 years. Our employees have made that possible, and it’s been a joy to watch their success, motivation and self-development.”
Most recently, the launch of Westfalia Parking Solutions in late-2016 has given Westfalia the opportunity to continue to evolve its automation technology to create custom automated parking solutions. In 2017, Westfalia will continue to expand this brand and remain not only a market leader in warehouse automation but also in the automated parking industry.
