UniCarriers Americas participates in first annual forklift safety day
UniCarriers Americas Corporation joined other members of the Industrial Truck Association in Washington, D.C. on June 10 for the first annual Forklift Safety Day. Members in attendance met with congressmen and senators to discuss forklift safety and corporate citizenship.
James Radous III, executive vice president sales, Americas and Mark Manninen, senior director of business and channel development, both of UniCarriers Americas, were among forklift manufacturer representatives in Washington, D.C. on June 10.
“During National Safety Month in June, we highlight safety initiatives to promote safe practices all year long. The first annual National Forklift Safety Day fell in the middle of National Safety Month on June 10, and highlighted safe forklift use and the importance of operator training,” said Radous. “At UniCarriers Americas Corporation, we are proud to deliver technology solutions that promote customer safety. We are proud of our capabilities and programs for training customers to use our equipment safely.”
Forklift Safety Day garnered positive feedback and created an open channel for forklift and workplace safety conversations between representatives and manufacturers. Forklift Safety Day will continue to be an opportunity for the industry to educate customers, policymakers and the administration on forklift operating safety practices. UniCarriers Americas has taken steps to keep the important issues addressed at the forefront of conversation all year long.
