UniCarriers Americas announces successful pilot of dealer fleet support program
UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) piloted a new UniVersal Service program to go beyond the general forklift repair this spring in Louisville, Ky.
The program provides unparalleled factory service performed onsite by a manufacturer-educated Master Technician. The service offering is based on the specific needs of each piece of equipment the client owns with competitive aftermarket parts pricing.
“This new program gives factory support to service a customer’s entire material handling fleet, regardless of location or equipment brand. This program also provides dealers in the nearby areas with sales opportunities previously beyond their reach by offering service support to their customers,” said Dan Domberg, vice president, aftermarket and customer satisfaction, for UniCarriers Americas. “While we have always prided ourselves in going the extra mile to support UniCarriers equipment brands and assist our end users with solutions to their challenges, the goal of this program is to provide service in areas where dealer service may not be nearby.”
With UniCarriers UniVersal Service, there are six maintenance and repair programs for any forklift make or model the client owns. The program is currently available in the Louisville, Ky. Area, where it was piloted. UCA is considering additional areas for expanding this program.
“This program uses our best and brightest service professionals, like UniCarriers Master Technician Adrian McLaughlin, who are trained by factory experts and provide the best forklift service possible, often on site,” said Domberg. “During the pilot period, Adrian became vital to customers in the Louisville area. They reported that they would recommend him and the UniVersal Service program to others.”
McLaughlin, the Master Technician for the pilot of the UniVersal Service program, is one of UCA’s top service professionals, trained by factory experts through UniCarriers University, College of Technical Service to support all UniCarriers brand equipment as well as material handling equipment from other manufacturers.
UCA supports the concept of lifelong learning. Through UniCarriers University’s College of Technical Service, UCA demonstrates its commitment to the aftermarket profession by helping develop a growing population of highly skilled service technicians. UCA’s UniVersal Service Program is an excellent example of the positive impact this training program is making.
UCA’s certification program offers three tiers of education: Apprentice, Journeyman and Master Technician. Advancement requires successful completion of increasingly difficult courses and enhanced responsibilities. Master Technician status is only achieved by dedicated students who have completed a demanding curriculum that includes complex problem solving across a variety of equipment makes and models. The Master Technicians are the key experts responsible for the UniCarriers Universal Service Program.
