UniCarriers Americas announces new director of product development
Wayne Seaman joined UniCarriers Americas Corporation as director of product development. In this role, Seaman is responsible for new product development, current product support and engineering special orders as well as engineering testing and administration.
Having previously served as director of Class III product development and engineering manager at NACCO Material Handling Group, Seaman has more than 20 years of product development and engineering experience.
“Under Wayne’s leadership, our product development team will be able to shorten product development cycle times and develop new products that meet customer needs,” said Shunichi Hasegawa, vice president, product engineering at UniCarriers Americas. “We’re happy to have him as part of our product development team.”
Seaman earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and holds a U.S. patent for vehicle chassis assembly. He also speaks Afrikaans and German.
