UniCarriers Americas announces Employees of the Year and STAR award winner
UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) announces this year’s Employees of the Year and its STAR Award winner.
UCA’s STAR Award is given to an employee who promotes change and is responsible for the most significant cost savings over the fiscal year. This year’s STAR Award winner was welder, Joe Engelhardt. Engelhardt was selected due to identifying product and process improvements that resulted in significant cost savings. By making a change in the wiring choice for an instrument panel robot, Engelhardt saved the company $1,500 without sacrificing weld integrity.
This year, UCA received more nominations for Employee of the Year than any previous year, and the high volume of qualified nominees led to a record six winners of the Employee of the Year honor. These winners embody the fundamentals of UCA culture, which include maintaining a solution orientation, proactively taking responsibility, gaining truth and practicing empathy, following up promptly and regularly and going out of their way to create remarkable customer experiences.
