TVH certified as a healthy organization
TVH in the Americas (TVH), a leading provider of quality replacement parts and accessories for the material handling and industrial equipment industry, was recently named a Certified Healthy KC Organization by the KC Chamber of Commerce.
Healthy KC is an initiative of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, that recognizes organizations focusing on health and wellness in the workplace.
To qualify for this certification, companies are judged on four pillars of health: nutrition, physical activity, tobacco cessation and work/life integration. TVH achieved a silver level certification based on efforts to improve the health of employees.
“We are excited to be recognized as a Certified Healthy KC organization,” said Lucy Delsarto, TVH’s wellness program coach and coordinator. “We have worked hard at TVH to provide a comprehensive wellness program for our employees and their families in order to provide a culture of health that extends beyond TVH. We are continually adding new programs and services such as hypnotherapy, acupuncture and chiropractic care to reach an even broader audience. At TVH we like to say, daily choices matter and encourage our employees to emulate this as a daily reminder to make healthy choices.”
