SpotSee hires Joseph Smith as new supply chain director
Joseph Smith has joined SpotSee as supply chain director to deploy processes that deliver positive results in the areas of cost, quality, delivery, service and product improvement.
“Joseph has a proven track record of finding savings for companies in their supply chains,” said Ted Harvey, vice president of operations, SpotSee. “We look forward to him using his experience to streamline our processes.”
In his role, Smith will be responsible for directing and coordinating supply chain processes, procurement, production capacity and resource planning operations.
Smith brings more than 20 years of experience, driving more than $12 million in cost reductions for employers. He joins the global leader in shock and vibration monitoring from Drury Hotel Company, LLC. While there, Smith was responsible for the negotiation of over $20 million in contracts.
Prior to Drury, Smith worked for Briggs & Stratton, the world’s largest producer of gasoline engines, as the commodity manager where he achieved $5.8 million in cost reductions. Smith also held senior positions at Textron Inc. in both the E-Z-Go and Cessna Aircraft divisions.
Smith is originally from Augusta, Kansas. He received his bachelor’s degree in management from Tabor College and his masters’ in business administration from Baker College. When not working, Smith enjoys traveling, biking, jogging and golfing.
