Shoppa’s Material Handling appoints a chief operations officer
Shoppa’s Material Handling, a Texas-based distributor throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, North Texas and Kansas City, Mo., announced that Patrick Collier has joined the company as chief operations officer (COO) to lead operations at the fast-growing Toyota forklift dealership.
The new position has been created at Shoppa’s Material Handling to improve the functionality of the business and drive extensive, sustainable growth. Collier will be responsible for the implementation of business strategies, plans and procedures as well as advancing internal policies and procedures to promote the company culture and vision. He will report solely to the president and chief executive officer (CEO).

Collier brings an extensive background in distribution, logistics, planning and operations with Alcon Laboratories where he served in several positions over the past 11 years including North America supply chain head. He was responsible for over 550 associates and 5.3 billion dollars in annual sales revenue.
Other previous employment includes advanced management operations positions with Staples and IBM Business Consulting Services. Collier holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Texas Christian University (TCU) and an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.

Currently Collier resides in Fort Worth with his wife, Stacey, of 12 years and their three young children.
