IDEAL names new business unit manager for precision tool group
IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. announced the promotion of Jim Falotico as business unit manager of its precision tool group from director of retail sales. As business unit manager, Falotico will be responsible for overall strategy, product development, engineering and delivery of the unit’s military/aerospace wire processing solutions. These highly specialized products, which include bench machines, hand tools, heat guns and accessories, are designed to increase efficiency in the initial construction and MRO of airplanes and military flight equipment. Because of the mission-critical nature of these applications, wire stripping tolerances are among industry’s most stringent.
“Jim is an outstanding leader whose expertise has proven invaluable over the course of his 12-year career with IDEAL,” said Nick Shkordoff, Group Vice President/General Manager of the company’s electrical division. “As IDEAL continues to strengthen its executive bench, we are confident that Jim is the right person to fortify our premier position in the military and aerospace industry wire processing market.”
During his 23-year career in the tools industry, Falotico has held a variety of management roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he was director of retail sales for IDEAL, after being promoted from the position of national accounts manager at the company. Prior to joining IDEAL in 2001, Falotico was national accounts manager with Senco Products, Inc., a tool and fastener manufacturer in Cincinnati, Ohio. Falotico is a graduate of the University of Illinois and received an MBA from Capella University.
