Hyster™ End Rider Series earns Plant Engineering Silver Product of the Year Award
Hyster Company has been named a 2013 Silver Product of the Year award recipient for material handling systems by Plant Engineering for its B60-80ZHD end rider lift trucks. The award was announced Monday night during the magazine’s “Engineering Awards in Manufacturing” event in Chicago. Plant Engineering determines award recipients based on voting from the magazine’s readership.
“The B60-80ZHD end rider series addresses a multitude of tough operating conditions and tackles some of the industry’s most demanding applications,” said Brett Schemerhorn, vice president of marketing for Hyster. “We’re glad to see the readers of Plant Engineering agree by casting their votes for this product. It is always great to receive end user confirmation of the benefits and durability of our products.”
Engineered for heavy duty applications in a range of operating conditions, the B60-80ZHD series 6,000- and 8,000-lb electric end rider pallet trucks provide the confidence to get the job done. They feature an enhanced fork frame and heavy duty linkage for greater strength and steadier load handling. To maximize durability, the forks are reinforced with 25 percent more steel, while fork tips are specifically designed for smooth pallet entry.
For easy operation and maximum productivity, the B60-80ZHD end rider series offers an intelligent control handle design with Advanced Coast Control with Side Glide. This feature increases floor- and low-level picking efficiency by eliminating the need for operators to climb on and off the truck during quick-pick applications. The end rider series also offers optional electronic power assist steering which permits operators to move loads through tight turns and crowded loading areas with ease.
To further simplify operation, the end rider series is equipped with Hyster i3 Technology™, which provides commonality among Hyster® warehouse products and simplifies the way that both operators and technicians handle and service the lift trucks.
In its 26th year, the Plant Engineering Product of the Year award competition allows readers to select the outstanding new products that help them do their jobs smarter, safer, more efficiently and more productively.
