HUBTEX UK celebrates 25 years
A quarter of a century after its founding, HUBTEX UK has grown from humble beginnings in a garage to become a major player in the UK market. HUBTEX UK’s history is one of continuous growth, innovation, and a firm commitment to quality and safety.
HUBTEX’s roots go back to the early 1980’s, before Malcom Manser and HUBTEX GmbH had the idea of setting HUBTEX UK. HUBTEX UK began operations in 1999 – initially in a small garage that served as a sales office. The first branch was opened in 2002, and an office with an attached workshop followed in 2004. Since then, HUBTEX UK has undergone considerable change. The company, which started as a one-man operation, now employs 16 people. In 2008, HUBTEX UK moved to its current building in Milton Keynes. Another milestone was reached when the service department was expanded to 10 technicians. The team now has the responsibility of ensuring that the vehicles are comprehensively maintained and serviced.
First customers and milestones
The first customers started using Hubtex side loaders as early as 1986. This model symbolizes the durability and reliability of Hubtex products. In 2004, HUBTEX UK exhibited for the first time at IMHX, a major trade fair in Birmingham. This market positioning enabled the company to expand its product range to include multidirectional forklifts and to strengthen its market presence in order picking vehicles for kitchen worktops, wood-based materials, laminate, decorative panels, aluminum and plastic profiles. Other important milestones for the company included the launch of the MaxX and FluX model lines in 2016 and the PhoeniX series in 2018.
Continuous growth and longstanding relationships
The last 25 years have been marked by sustainable growth and the development of long-term customer relationships with Eurocell, Epwin, Antalis, Hydro, Metsec and Co. While leasing contracts in the industry are often limited to five years, HUBTEX UK has signed numerous long-term contracts with a term of ten years, and continued agreements since the UK office opened. These partnerships are testament to the high quality of the products and services and the trust customers have in the company. “Our strength lies in the reliability and durability of our products and the vehicle safety we offer our customers. These qualities have made us a trusted partner for many companies”, says Paul McNally, Managing Director of HUBTEX UK.
Looking to the future
Despite the challenges posed by global events and geopolitical tensions, HUBTEX UK is optimistic about the future. The company plans to further expand its already strong position in the construction, wood, steel and plastics industries and to enter new market segments such as the automotive, aerospace and air freight industries.
The vision for the coming years includes further growth in machines, customers, employees and revenue. “With strong customer and supplier relationships and a team of committed and talented employees, HUBTEX UK sees many opportunities to successfully master the challenges of the future”, concludes McNally.
