Akro-Mils opens new warehouse
Akro-Mils, a North American provider of storage, organization and transport products, announces the opening of a new warehouse facility in Wadsworth, Ohio. Located across from the company’s manufacturing plant at 250 Seville Road, the new 125,000-sq.-ft. warehouse will have the potential to grow by an additional 95,000 sq. ft. if necessary, says Jim Daw, Akro-Mils Wadsworth Plant Manager. About 20 to 35 Akro-Mils employees will work in the new warehouse. Future plans for the facility include a shipping office, Daw says. The new facility will transform Akro-Mils’ plastic storage products production and distribution, Daw adds. “This will allow the company to produce all plastic products in our Wadsworth facility without having to transfer stock to our Sandusky plant for warehousing and shipping,” he says. “The new 125,000 sq. ft. of space is a substitution for 160,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and production space that exists in Sandusky for our plastic products. We now will be able to efficiently produce and ship all Akro-Mils plastic products from one location!”
