Ergodyne unveils new Proflex™ thermal series gloves

Ergodyne announced it has refreshed and redesigned its ProFlex® Thermal Series Gloves. All told, six models were updated and one model was added to give more traditional thermal gloves workplace functionality.

“Work doesn’t stop when the temperature drops,” said Andy Olson, associate product director, Ergodyne. “These gloves are built to keep hands warm, dry and protected, so workers can stay focused on the job, not the thermometer.”

With this full-on, ground-up refresh, Ergodyne focused on designing a quality thermal glove first and foremost, then used its industry expertise to add specific enhancements that meet the unique needs of workers. Dual-zone 3M™Thinsulate™ Insulation means wearers will enjoy a lab-tested increase of nearly 15% in warmth over previous designs for cold days and colder nights.

Additional benefits include rolled fingertips for dexterity, extended cuffs to keep weather out, and reflective accents on most models to combat winter darkness.

The refreshed design is complimented by a technology update. A weather-resistant outer shell means these lighter gloves are made of fabrics that retain warmth, but not water. Palms were made with rugged, abrasion-resistant palm materials (AX Suede™ and Tena-Grip™) to maintain flexibility in cold temperatures.

With the exception of the 816, all gloves in the series have touch screen-capable thumb and index fingers to let workers take calls without having to remove their gloves and expose their hands to potential hazards. Blue accents on the gloves indicate that they are designed for cold weather work. Increased worker visibility from reflective accents. “Postal workers aren’t the only ones who work in sleet and snow; they just get all the credit,” said Tom Votel, president and CEO, Ergodyne. “These good-looking gloves are truly built from the ground up for cold, harsh, wet conditions with special enhancements for workers added in our unique way.”
