PTDA Foundation raised nearly $290,000

Recruiting and retaining employees continues to be an overwhelming challenge for power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) employers. Through its PT WORK ForceSM initiative, the PTDA Foundation provides employers in the PT/MC channel with resources to attract and keep a sufficient, vibrant workforce. With financial support of nearly $290,000 from companies and individuals, the industry is working collaboratively to reach the future PT/MC workforce.

According to Keith Nowak, 2018 PTDA Foundation Vice President, MPT Drives, Inc. (Madison Heights, Mich.), “We are facing multiple challenges when it comes to hiring and retaining employees. Our industry, although essential to every industrial, commercial and institutional process, is not well-known. As employers, we compete for talent on a local level in what is now a highly competitive market. Through the industry’s generous support of the PT WORK ForceSMprogram, we’re collaborating on research, knowledge and resources to up our game when it comes to selling our companies and our industry as fantastic places to work with incredibly rewarding career opportunities.”

A variety of resources have already been developed to help employers in the PT/MC industry hire and retain talent. Learn more about these tools at PTWORKForce.org.
