PPWLN empowers Women in Manufacturing at PACK EXPO
Now a staple at PACK EXPO International and Healthcare Packaging EXPO (Oct. 14-17; McCormick Place, Chicago), the Packaging & Processing Women’s Leadership Network (PPWLN) breakfast will feature a conversation with top manufacturing executives about how to empower women in the industry (Tuesday, Oct. 16; 7:30-9:00 a.m.; Room E-450). These industry leaders will weigh-in on the company culture change required to grow women’s presence in this male-dominated field, and how the industry as a whole can assist in building a more diversified workforce.
Moderated by Jane Chase, executive director, Institute of Packaging Professionals, the discussion will include insights from:
Carol O’Neill, Group President, Packaging, Barry-Wehmiller
O’Neill leads efforts to enhance the alignment and capabilities of the six divisions within the Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Platform: Accraply, BW Container Systems, Hayssen Flexible Systems, Pneumatic Scale Angelus, Synerlink and Thiele Technologies.
Hugh Roddy, Vice President, Global Engineering & Project Management, Chobani
In his role at Chobani, Roddy has overseen the strategic growth of the engineering and controls/automation functions for all facilities, including two new industrial complexes.
AJ Jorgenson, AVP, Strategic Engagement, The Manufacturing Institute
Jorgenson develops and executes all strategic operations for the Institute’s largest initiative, STEP Ahead. She ensures that the Institute is the authority on the attraction, qualification and development of world-class manufacturing talent.
Sponsored by show organizer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, PPWLN serves to recruit, retain and advance women’s careers in packaging and processing through online and in-person events, information-sharing and networking.
