Global supply chain management and logistics services provider Penske Logistics has committed to the Champion Sponsor level of the Warehousing Education and Research Council’s (WERC) 39th Annual Conference for Logistics Professionals. The Conference will be held in Providence, Rhode Island, at the Rhode Island Convention Center on May 15-18, 2016 and includes three days packed with educational sessions. The annual event routinely draws nearly 1,100 senior-level warehousing, logistics and supply chain professionals.
Penske Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Penske Truck Leasing. With operations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, Penske Logistics provides supply chain management and logistics services to leading companies around the world. Currently managing more than 21 million square feet of warehousing space globally, the company delivers value to its customers through design, planning and execution in transportation, warehousing and freight management.
The company has been involved with WERC since 2011.
“We are pleased to be a Champion level Sponsor,” said Andy Moses, Penske Logistics Senior Vice President of Global Products. “Last year we were very happy with the turnout at our booth and we ‘Turned Your Warehouse on Its Head’ during our presentation. This year we’re excited to present ‘Accelerating Warehouse Innovation’ to provide a roadmap and examples of how Penske has delivered warehouse solutions.”
During the WERC Conference sessions, subject matter experts share industry-specific ideas for actionable strategies to improve processes and operations in a variety of topic areas—metrics, outsourcing, people, transportation, reverse logistics, real estate and more—in industries such as retail, healthcare / pharmaceutical and manufacturing. The Conference also includes off-site facility tours, intimate and relaxed networking, and a Solutions Center featuring the latest innovative products and solutions.
Penske’s exhibit in the Solutions Center will be featuring their full spectrum of solutions for the distribution industry, with special emphasis on the automotive, industrial and food and beverage verticals.
Registration can be accessed at www.werc.org/2016. “Early Bird” Conference registration fees are in effect until April 1, 2016, with additional discounts extended to WERC members who are industry practitioners or full-time educators. Non-members of WERC are also welcomed to the event.
