Konecranes to host crane users conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Konecranes will host the 2015 Crane User’s Conference at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee from September 15-17, 2015.
Konecranes brings its groundbreaking, annual Crane Users Conference to Milwaukee for the first time this fall. The complimentary event will showcase material handling technologies and strategies to help companies stay safe, efficient, productive and profitable.
The Crane Users Conference provides a valuable education about the fundamentals of material handling,” says organizer Jim Skowron. “We focus on technology that can help crane users improve safety and productivity in their facility. We show them new ideas to retrofit old cranes, giving them new life, improved safety and productivity and fewer maintenance items. Participants will also have an opportunity to see what can be accomplished with the latest new crane technology.”
The conference is specifically for anyone involved in industries where cranes are part of their processes, such as: aluminium, automotive, general manufacturing, mining, nuclear, petrochemical, ports, portal, pulp & paper, steel and waste-to-energy.
The 2015 program includes a trip to Konecranes Parts Manufacturing Center in Watertown, Wisconsin where attendees can see first-hand how new parts can be reverse-engineered for old or obsolete cranes and how components can be rebuilt.
This year, our format will include topical breakout sessions, where participants will have the opportunity to sign up in advance to learn more about topics that are specific to them,” says Skowron. “We will also organize several panels of experts in round-table format to help users develop solutions to crane problems.”
Finally, another special feature for 2015 is the proximity to the Konecranes Training Institute,” says Skowron. “At the conclusion of the conference, participants will have the chance to attend a complimentary 4-hour Crane Safety Management Course which will be taught at the host hotel. It is an excellent class for those who have responsibility for material handling–heads of plants, maintenance departments or safety programs.”
The welcome reception for the 2015 event will be held at baseball’s beautiful Miller Park as the Milwaukee Brewers host the St. Louis Cardinals. The event will take place in the Gehl Club and Konecranes will provide the tickets and transportation to and from the hotel.
