“Smart” vehicle technology and 3D printing will headline the Advanced Design and Manufacturing Impact Forum, a new technical conference presented by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the University of Buffalo to demonstrate innovations that could transform global manufacturing.
New computer-aided engineering applications, robotic systems, and medical device development are other program topics at the three-day forum, which is hosted by the University of Buffalo and will include workshops, an equipment exposition, and career fair.
Fortune 500 companies ranging from General Electric to Lockheed Martin will be represented, in addition to smaller companies and entrepreneurial ventures on the cutting edge of new technologies and manufacturing solutions and strategies.
Keynote presentations on “The Advanced Manufacturing Revolution – Enabling Technologies” and “Revitalizing American Manufacturing – Innovation Policies and Initiatives” will take place on August 18. The keynote speakers are:
