MHI recaps MODEX and announces 2018 MHI Innovation Award winners
MHI released a recap of the recent MODEX 2018 show along with award winners.
Earlier this month, the fourth edition of MODEX show was a record event on all fronts with 283,025 net square feet and 925 exhibitors. MODEX also featured over 130 educational sessions. Attendance was up 20 percent over 2016 totaling 30,000 and the quality of the visitors was very strong with a large number of buying teams from key Fortune 500 firms in attendance.
Along with the healthy traffic on the show floor, other highlights of MODEX included the educational conference that accompanied the MODEX exhibition. This included keynotes on on digital disruption from UPS, Andrew McAfee as well as a very entertaining presentation on the value of work from Mike Rowe. The conference also included a keynote panel discussing the findings of the 2018 MHI Annual Industry Report – Overcoming Barriers to NextGen Supply Chain Innovation.
During MODEX, MHI Industry Night occurred on Wednesday, April 11 featuring comedian Jim Gaffigan. MHI donated $45,000 in ticket sales from the event to the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc.
