State of the Port of Long Beach to highlight goals for 2022

Virtual address reviews a record-setting 2021, forecasts next steps for supply chain

Port of Long Beach Executive Director Mario Cordero will declare 2022 as the “Year of Transformation” during his fifth State of the Port address on Wednesday, Feb. 9, with a forecast of cargo trends, infrastructure projects, and additional plans in the year ahead.

The annual State of the Port will also take a look back at the challenges and accomplishments of a record-setting 2021, with comments delivered by Cordero, Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia, and Long Beach Harbor Commission President Steven Neal.

The virtual program will be available starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at www.polb.com/stateoftheport.

The program will also air concurrently on LBTV – Spectrum cable Channel 3, Frontier cable Channel 21, and AT&T U-verse Channel 99.

Rather than holding an in-person event, the State of the Port will be available online for a second consecutive year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
