Signode Industrial Group highlights its Rough Handling Test at Industrial Pack
Signode Industrial Group, a manufacturer of a broad spectrum of packaging consumables, tools, software and equipment to optimize end-of-line packaging operations and protect product in transit, demonstrated its rough handling test as part of Industrial Pack 2019’s Pack Test Live challenge (Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta, March 27-28).
The Signode Industrial Group’s Application and Development Research team’s Packaging Laboratory, under the leadership of Paul E. Sowa, senior packaging research engineer, Signode Industrial Group, was on hand to educate show attendees about the International Safe Transit Association’s (ISTA) rough handling test. Attendees learned how to achieve high rates of damage resistance through performing this simple, inexpensive, and easy-to-perform test, which helps determine optimal product packaging and unitizing methods.
“Testing, verification, and due diligence go hand-in-hand with our dedication to outstanding client service and on-going engineering, material, and equipment innovations,” said Sowa. “We were pleased we could inform and educate the industry at Industrial Pack 2019.”
Signode Industrial Group displayed a sampling of its extensive product and technology portfolio at Booth 521, including its Angleboard® protective packaging systems, Down River load securement solutions, GaleWrap® oriented stretch film, LOCK N’ POP® cohesive designed to “lock” products in place, Multi-Wall™custom protective packaging solutions, Reddi-Pac™laminated paperboard packaging products, Shippers Products™ dunnage airbags, Plastic Packaging separator sheets, and Signode® BXT3 Battery-powered hand-held strapping tools.
“Individually and collectively, our entire range of smart customer solutions enables greater throughput, reduced downtimes, enhanced efficiencies, and more profitable operations,” said Sowa. “While we are always passing the difficult challenges our customers set out for us, we were glad to share our expertise with the rough handling test.”
