The fundraising campaign, in conjunction with IWLA’s 125th Anniversary, involved matching funds contributed by IWLA members since the March 2016 IWLA Convention. By the July 1 deadline, IWLA members contributed $25,650 to ALAN. IWLA matched those dollars (up to $25,000) and recently presented the funds to ALAN Executive Director Kathy Fulton. “ALAN works to facilitate the supply chain during emergencies – natural disasters or other calamities. There is no better charitable partner for IWLA members as professional warehousing and logistics services are key during these times,” says IWLA President & CEO Steve DeHaan, CAE. “ALAN can only do so much on its own. It takes certain coordinated efforts and a ready network to meet ALAN’s goals. It also takes money. This campaign highlighted the synergy between ALAN and IWLA.” IWLA has committed to a $25,000 annual-match program through 2018. The anticipated $50,000 or more each year will give ALAN a reliable base source of funding. The IWLA Board of Directors unanimously voted to support ALAN on a long-term cycle in March 2016. Many IWLA members regularly donate time, equipment, facilities, and services to ALAN projects.
